Projekt Passion - Season 2: New PC Councilor.

Yeah, Projekt Moon is dead (I am joking of course). Though, everything I aimed to do is already being done and much better by another game. That being Projekt Passion. See, I chose to do a unique review. What if you wanted to skip Season 1 and just jump into the fray immediately. Would Lemon account for that? I knew Lemon was pretty good, but I was caught off guard and how well this was done.
You truly aren’t ready for how well things are done, if you aren’t knowing what to expect. Since my review of Morningstar, I have never been incredibly impressed by anything I have review and to get this out of the way…
BIAS WARNING:
The developer, Classy Lemon and I… are in a Discord chat in which he has taken time to help other developers. His presence has lent a lot of credence to what I am trying to do with my dev help section, thus this should be known… But despite this, “Friend Lemon” is still painting an adult visual novel masterpiece that would stun Picasso or Van Gogh. That said… to talk about it.
The meat and potatoes:
Standard Visual Novel stuff, read at times choices are offered but at times you are drawn away to an animation and that is typically when I asked “how did he do that?” because I was impressed. One scene I was amazed at was a sex scene where I was impressed by the creativity involved.
There is also a three color choice system. Good, Joking and “Renegade” you can say. I stuck with the good, but I feel like running through it again for the achievements is a valid option. Too often would I say “yeah I am good”, but with this… I feel I would want to see the other 2 dialogue options.
Of the characters I met, I was most intrigued by the Tali’Zorah-esque Elysra (In that her romance is that her face is mostly covered and you must find beauty within to like her) and I was not disappointed by Elysra or my interactions with her or the myriad of squadmates I am given as it feels like “The Gunslinger” or the Main Character is about to have some Issei Hyoudou troubles…
Your squadmates all feel like real people, with real motivations and logic behind their moves. Even your version of EDI known as “Sandra” (A word to describe her android designation.) It is also nice to see the often neglected “childhood friend” not get left behind who I joking thought was a massively improved Cora Harper.
This hit so many good notes with me. It’s hard to talk without delving into spoilers, so I might cut this shorter than I wanted to…
One massive highlight of this is stuff like the picture above. I think I laughed more times than I can count. The silly Mel Brooks/Monty Python style humor hits all the right notes. Often was it perfectly placed to relieve tension from some sticky situations to never leave you feeling to down but enough to create ebbs and flows. Serious story part, joke scene, repeat.
This should be standard play for a dev on how to properly write a story and keep perfect story flow and energy. Balance is hard to achieve, but Lemon nailed it.
As I said, it’s a PC Councilor. A flawless adult visual novel and study of the genre done RIGHT. Just like my feelings about Morningstar.
I rate it one gratuitous Elysra ass shot and cuddle sesh. In other words, out of this world.
